PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES!To promote Fun, Fun and more Fun while serving as a primary promoter of a quality night life that offers incident free environments of fun and excitement geared specifically towards the mature adult desiring to partake in evenings of stress free dance. As a starting point, an initial commitment to New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware, hereby known to IAKJP as The East Coast United Tri-State Area (ECUTSA) will serve as the focal point of interest. IAKJP’s intent is to promote a better understanding in the ECUTSA towards dancing as a free form expression that produces a “Healthier Lifestyle.” To promote by way of dance classes, dance cabarets and socials, and dance performances, an exchange of ideas and experiences between Choreographers, dance instructors, dancers and all others interested in the art of dance. To serve as a primary link in the ECUTSA, uniting the various dance clubs and organizations in the area in an attempt to obtain and maintain harmony and peace, while promoting ECUTSA as a model region for dance activities. To serve as a primary host, a point of contact, and/or liaison, for dance clubs and/or organizations outside of ECUTSA seeking to unite their form of dance with the ECUTSA. To encourage the recruitment of folks of all walks of life, without regard to race, creed, origin, sex or age into the world of dance. To provide the ECUTSA the ultimate in hassle free and affordable dance lessons. And…last but not least, to give back to the community, by way of charitable donations in the form of both service commitments and monetary contributions via the development of the IAKJP Social Club.
Healing Our Communities through dance is the drive of the IAKJP Social Club. Helping seniors, mentoring youth, promoting wellness and improving the quality of life in the community, defines our “footwork with a purpose.” While the primary focus is to promote the ideas of dance as a major component to wellness, it is the desire of the club to “make a difference” in the lives of all people from all walks of life. The IAKJP Social Club is committed to facilitating the efforts of IAKJP via its dedication to the goals of promoting community wellness and strengthening the lifestyles of people throughout the community. Through its dance classes IAKJP is committed to the idea of healthier lifestyles. IAKJP dance classes will introduce each student to the R&B/Soul line dance experience while simultaneously exposing him/her to a unique and fun filled cardiovascular workout. This is Line Dance Aerobics. Each line dance is a low impact/high energy choreographed workout designed to target the cardiovascular system, improve your fitness level and pump fun through your veins. IAKJP classes are open to men and women at all fitness levels, all ages and all ethnic groups. 60 and 120 minute workouts are designed to burn approximately 500–600 calories.
